What is Folding and Bending?
When bending, also known as folding, a sheet of metal is permanently deformed. The most common shapes are U-profiles, Z-profiles, and hat profiles. If further deformations are made on the same sheet of metal, it can take on any shape. Interestingly, the angle at which the sheet of metal is bent can be varied almost at will.
Using a CNC-controlled folding press, the previously laser-cut or cut parts are folded or bent according to your specifications and requirements. The inserted sheet of metal is shaped by the pressing force applied between the upper and lower tools.
